Tell us your favorite quote.

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Do you have any affinity for creating art – outside your writing and jewelry designing?

I feel like our magazine, Beverly Hills Lifestyle is a work of art every issue! I love seeing it come together. With that, writing, and designing my jewelry, I feel I'm constantly creating. I am inspired by art and love being around creative people.

Tell us something we wouldn’t guess about you.

I'm really into video editing. Out of college I got a job as a production assistant and I’ve made 2 documentaries.

Last song/band/music playing on iPod/Pandora/Spotify

I've been downloading Christmas music. Jars of Clay’s “Little Drummer Boy” really melts my heart.

What would the title of your autobiography/biopic be?

Nice Girl Finishes First.

Favorite part of your job?

Creating. Working with my husband. Learning and always growing, being proud of our work.

Most difficult part of your job?

Working with my husband! Haha. No, working with different types of people who are highly creative and opinionated.

What was the last piece of art you purchased?

We commissioned James Verbicky to make a piece using that last 5 years of our magazine as a mixed media collage. It turned out amazing. We love it.

Do you have any advice for people out there just starting getting into buying art?

Buy a piece that moves you. That you can't stop thinking about and it makes you feel a certain emotion.

Describe your home styling aesthetic?

I like very clean, modern, slick lines with a girlie touch. I'm not afraid of feathers and mirrors but I love white. Even with 2 little boys, we have a white leather couch. Call us crazy but it works! You can't sacrifice your style just because you're a mom ;-)

Favorite artist outside of Eyes on Walls?

Andy Anh Ha is a good friend and we have represented him in Orange County for years. He was one of the first artist my husband and I collected personally and now he is our feature artist at our gallery

Favorite Eyes on Walls artist?

There are a lot of great ones, it almost depends on my mood, but for today I am going with Lora Zombie. Her Big Bang Kiss takes it for me.

Thank you Lydia!
