For one night only, on November 21st, 2015, Lora Zombie filled a colossal 5500 square foot gallery space in the Queen West District of Toronto with the bulk of her original works from the past year. Titled ‘Unicorn Comet’ after one of the show’s signature pieces, this was the artist’s largest exhibition to date.
An impressive queue started forming long before the doors opened.Lora has been experimenting with ever larger canvases and pieces spanning multiple panels were on display, some as large as 6 feet wide. Throughout the 2.5 hour exhibition, over 1000 fans circled the show throughout the night taking in almost 60 pieces of original art.
HEROTIME, Lora’s line of apparel and accessories recently launched this Summer and pieces from the collection were on display and available for purchase in the brand’s first ever pop-up shop.
Fans not in the Toronto area tuned in via Periscope to get a walk through of the show and feel the energy of the gathered crowds.
Check out the video clip from CityNews Toronto as well as coverage of Lora's visit from the Toronto Star below.
A special thanks to everyone that made it out to the show! See you at the next one!
