True Colors - An Art Show by Lora Zombie

Posted on

The Show:
For one night only on Saturday, November 12th, Grunge artist Lora Zombie is taking her art to London (Bermondsey/Southwark) for her first ever solo show in the UK. True Colors will feature 50+ new paintings that Lora has been working on for the past year from her studio in St. Petersburg, Russia.

2016 has been a tremendous year for Lora. In the Spring, her work was featured as part of XX: A Moment in Time, an all-female show at the Saatchi Gallery in London. Other recent projects have included a large-scale outdoor mural for the Art-in-the-Park project at Lollapalooza Berlin and a series of mural installations in Iceland with Urban Nation, as well as collaborations with HBO, Warner Brothers, Blackmilk Clothing, Perrier, and soon Reebok.

She returns to London on November 12th for this solo Pop-Up Art Show, just a short 5 minute walk from London Bridge station. Lora’s last major opening in Toronto (Canada) brought out her largest crowd to date - London, let's see what you've got!

    My Dear Laura,
Hope you are looking forward to the visit to London as I am. Will definitely see you in November, bring warm clothing, it can be real nasty that time of year, and remember to leave the “pets” home with their strict animal laws against rabies. Cost me more to bring my 2 dogs here than my own ticket, but would not ever think of leaving them behind.
You will have a great show, your work is “Amazing” don’t stop believing in yourself, you will only get better not older.
    Peace, Love & Kharma,
    Talan3900

This is a wonderful idea for Laura to spread the “Word” about her work.
I have been collecting for a couple of years and can’t wait to meet my favorite artist.
At her last show at The Saatchi Gallery I was in hospital for a spinal surgery one of many after being wounded several times in Vietnam when I was drafted into The US Army. A dual citizen living in London trying to get back to my real home.
Hopefully this time I will not have anything holding me back from meeting my favorite and beautiful artist.
Her talent is amazing what she brings to the Art-world is on a par with Dali, Óscar Domínguez, Leonor Fini, Gerome Kamrowski, and so many more. Come and enjoy the art capital of the world and I look forward finally to meet you.
Being a “poor” Army vet I can only afford Lithos. and signed copies. One day an original.
Hope you look forward to your visit and I look forward very much in meeting with you.
    Peace, Love & Kharma always,
    Alan
